Missing In Action

There are roughly 314 recipients who are listed as Lost to History as their burial location is unknown. We are actively working with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society to locate their final resting place.

There are also 65 recipients who are classified as MIA or Missing in Action. Some are known to have Died In Service (DIS) Additionally, there are 6 recipients classified as Missing although not due to combat. Most have ‘In Memory Of’ cenotaphs.
